The Norwegian physician at Bergen, Dr Gerhard Armauer Hansen, <sup>1<\/sup>\u201cdiscovered\u201d this Mycobaceterial disease which for some period adopted his last name, i.e. Hansen\u2019s disease. Leprosy has also been found in domestic and wild animals,<sup>2 <\/sup>perhaps not surprisingly.
