We report a case of a young healthy 40-year-old male who was diagnosed with acute hepatitis A virus infection and presented with acute portal vein thrombosis. This article describes the possible pathophysiological mechanisms, clinical symptoms, and treatment of acute portal vein thrombosis in this patient.
